The Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce and the Kishwaukee Valley Wanderers are proud to present the Lucha Libre stars of Mexico. This special performance features five high-flying, hard-hitting matches and over twenty wrestlers, including stars such as El Maleficio, Corazon de Guerrero, Potro Romano and Alas de Fuego.
Mexico’s version of professional wrestling (the term literally means free-style wrestling) is one of the country’s biggest spectator activities today, eclipsed only in popularity by soccer. Characterized by colorful masks, flamboyant personalities and a whole lot of Spandex, it’s an edge-of-your-seat spectacle like no other and something that shouldn’t be missed.
Saturday Volksmarch 6K/10K Fun and Fitness Walk
When: Saturday, September 9
Start between 8:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Cost: Free event or $3.00 IVV Credit
Volksmarch means "people's march" in German. It is a non-competitive fitness walk of either 6k or 10K. The path winds along the beautiful Kishwaukee River and through Genoa. You are welcome to begin any time between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. We encourage everyone to join us!

From 3:30 until 7:30 p.m. your $35 general admission ticket will get you samples from 20+ craft beer and wine vendors. The Lennys have been rocking and rolling all around the Chicagoland area (and Wisconsin and Indiana) at festivals, corporate and private parties, and clubs since 2002. They know over 200 songs from five decades of rock hits and learn a few dozen new ones every year so that no two shows are ever the same!

Sunday - The Great Genoa Duck Race

Cost: This family minded community event is free to all
The event is bigger and better than ever this year, and will include music from the G-K Marching Band. Also featured will be jump houses, face painting, a hula-hoop contest and even more! The Great Genoa Duck Race is at 1:00 p.m. when over 2,000 ducks will compete for a chance to win $500. Get your ducks today at The Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce, Tobinson's Ace Hardware, Genoa Veteran's Club, Heartland Bank, and Old National Bank. Ducks can also be purchased until noon on race day at the event sight. See you at the river!

Join us Sunday from for the PTO Fun Fair under the VolksFest Country Financial Big Top in Carroll Park. There will be games, prizes, a bounce house, GK Band and food vendors. Fun for the kids, fun for the family, ending with the Great Genoa Duck Race at 1:00.
